GC ZURICH SIGNS THREE YOUNG TALENTS TO LONG-TERM CONTRACTS

Grasshopper Club Zurich continues to focus on its young talents and is pleased to announce that Davud Sylaj, Loris Giandomenico and Miguel Martins have signed their first professional contracts.

The signing of these young players underlines GC Zurich's commitment to nurturing young talent and providing them with the platform to develop at the highest level. In Loris, Davud and Miguel, the club has been able to retain three ambitious players from its own U21, U19 and U17 academy ranks.

Centre-back Davud Sylaj joined the U21 of Grasshopper Club Zurich in the start of 2021. As captain of Kosovo's U19 national team, Davud has proven his leadership qualities. He impresses with his playmaking, technical ability and commitment.

Left-back Loris Giandomenico, 18, has been with the GC Academy since the U9s. After successful spells at FC Winterthur and FC Basel, he returned to GC Zurich in the summer of 2022. Loris stands out for his stamina, speed and tenacity in the tackle. He is also completing a commercial apprenticeship at the UNITED school of sports.

Miguel Mahafaly Correia Martins, a 16-year-old left winger, joined GC Zurich's U17 team in 2021 from FC Rapperswil-Jona. Miguel stands out for his strength in direct tackles, in the box and his technical ability. He is also currently completing a commercial apprenticeship.
