The current GC captain made his debut for the blue and white in the 2010/11 season. In the 1st round in a 1-1 draw against Neuchâtel Xamax, the midfielder was substituted in the 58th minute. Abrashi then left his mark in the GC midfield for five years, including winning the Cup with the Hoppers in 2013. In the summer of 2015, he moved to Freiburg. With the German club, Abrashi was immediately promoted to the Bundesliga. He is also a current national player for Albania and took part in the European Championship in France in 2016. In the summer of 2021, Abrashi returned to Zurich after six years and extended his contract in the beginning of the new year until the summer of 2024.
