LEART KABASHI SIGNS FIRST CONTRACT WITH GC ZURICH

The 15-year-old midfielder Leart Kabashi has signed his first two-year contract with Grasshopper Club Zurich after seven years at the club. The Zurich-born midfielder joined the "Junghoppers" in 2016, where he progressed through all the youth levels. He is currently valued as an important part of the U16 team.

Leart Kabashi has picked up speed and is not only convincing in the GCZ youth team at the moment. He is also regularly called up by the Swiss Football Association for the U16 squads and matches, which means he can also gain valuable experience at international level.
Thanks to his tireless nature and strong personality, he can stand his ground in midfield as well as in attack and is one of the team's most important drivers. His type of player is also proven in training and match situations, which he regularly influences positively.

Erminio Piserchia, technical director of the youth department, is pleased about this step: "Another home-grown player is on the right track! I am delighted that we can sign Leart, a young player who has known Grasshopper Club Zürich for years and who sacrifices himself for our colours. He has developed into an incredibly valuable player for the team and I am keen to accompany and support him as successfully as possible with the junior team on his further development path."

Grasshopper Club Zurich looks forward to continuing to work with Leart and wishes him a successful end to the season.
