GC TRAVELS TO LUGANO

After the win against YB during the week, the Hoppers will continue their campaign against FC Lugano in the 31st CSSL round tomorrow.

Thanks to a solid performance, the Zurich team won against the leader from Bern with 4:1 and thus achieved the second victory in a row. The Hoppers thus strengthened their 5th place in the Credit Suisse Super League. This weekend, they have the chance to catch up with the Ticino team in terms of points with a victory over Lugano. So far this season, they are unbeaten against the Luganesi.

The Ticino team was able to win their match during the week shortly before the end. Thanks to the winning goal in the 86th minute, Croci-Torti's team took three points against FC St.Gallen 1879. The Ticino side are now unbeaten in four games in the championship, the last defeat coming against the Hoppers in Zurich at the beginning of April. Now the two teams meet for the second time this season in Ticino. The first meeting ended in a 1-1 draw.

For the match against Lugano, head coach Giorgio Contini will still have to do without the long-term injured Momoh Francis.
