GC FACES WINTERTHUR

Tomorrow, Saturday, the Hoppers are guests at the Schützenwiese stadium. The 29th CSSL round is on the agenda there.

Despite a fighting performance, the Hoppers were beaten 3-1 by FC Sion last weekend. Although they came clos to the equlizer when they were one man less, it was still not enough to score points. Now Giorgio Contini's team has to play an important away match at the Schützenwiese stadium. In the previous round, they lost the match in Winterthur with 1:0. FCW, who is currently five points behind the Hoppers.

Last weekend, FCW celebrated an important 2:3 away win in the East of Switzerland at FC St.Gallen 1879 and thus had an ideal start into the last quarter of the championship. This was the seventh win for this year's promoted team in the current season and the second time that Bruno Berner's team scored more than one goal in a game. Thus, it remains tight at the bottom of the table, with Winterthur only one point behind Sion and FCZ.

For the match against Winterthur, head coach Giorgio Contini will have to do without the long-term injured Momoh Francis. Guilherme Schettine is also absent and Meritan Shabani will also miss the match, as he had to leave the pitch with red against Sion and was suspended for three games. However, centre-back Ayumu Seko is back after his yellow suspension and Florian Hoxha is also in the line-up for the first time since his injury.

The match can be followed as usual on 86live via live ticker and radio. In addition, the match can be seen on pay TV on blue Sport.
