Dominik Schmid made his competitive debut for GCZ on the 12th of September 2020. The defender was on the pitch for 90 minutes for the first time in blue and white in the away win in the Swiss Cup at Lausanne-Ouchy. Now, exactly 581 days later, the 2021/22 "Player of the Season" has played his 100th game for the Zurich club. Schmid scored four goals and provided 10 assists. In addition, he repeatedly led the team on the pitch as captain. In these 100 games, Schmid was used in a total of seven different positions, but mostly on the left side as a wing-back. In addition, Schmid was awarded SFL Player of the Round 1x and scored the GC Goal of the Season in the 2020/21 season.
