KALEM AND UKA ON LOAN TO SCHAFFHAUSEN

Grasshopper Club Zürich and FC Schaffhausen have agreed on the loan of Robin Kalem and Leonardo Uka. Both young midfielders will join Schaffhausen on loan for the first halt of the season to gain experience in the Challenge League.

Robin Kalem, who celebrates his 20th birthday today, already spent the last season on loan in Schaffhausen. The German midfielder played 34 games in the ‘Munotstadt’, scoring four goals and providing four assists.

Leonardo Uka played for Goran Ivelj's U21s last season. In the 1st division, the 21-year-old Hopper scored 10 goals in 25 competitive games. Now he gets the chance to gain his first experience at Challenge League level.

"Kalem was able to successfully further his development process in Schaffhausen last season and show convincing performances. Now we are happy that we can offer him the opportunity to definitely prove himself in an already familiar environment for another four months. It is important for us that Uka can also gain his first experience in the Challenge League and develop further at a more competitive level," said sporting director Bernt Haas.

Grasshopper Club Zürich wishes Kalem and Uka all the best for the coming months in Schaffhausen.
