Tomorrow, Friday, GC will play the first test match of the new season. They will host FC Schaffhausen at the GC/Campus. The kick-off time was brought forward to 2 pm due to the weather conditions. Additionally, GC will play another test match in Wiesbaden on 17 July 2022.
One week after the start of the season, the first test match is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday. At 2 p.m., GC will host Challenge League side FC Schaffhausen at the GC/Campus. Entry is free and the match will also be livestreamed on gcz.ch.
Two test players will also be playing in the test against FCS. Striker Meritan Shabani and midfielder Tsiy Ndenge have been in team training since the beginning of the week and will play in the test against Schaffhausen.
Test match against SV Wehen Wiesbaden
The Hoppers will not start the new season until 24 July (against Lugano). The 1st round against FC Luzern was postponed because there are not enough stadiums available on the first matchday. GC will use this for another test match against SV Wehen Wiesbaden. The Wiesbaden team is at home in the 3rd Bundesliga. The match against SVWW will take place on 17 July at 3 pm in the BRITA Arena.
