“I am very grateful to be able to continue my career at Grasshoppers. These colours have a special meaning to me and after six years in Zürich, I definitely feel at home here. I am now fully focused and looking forward to the next season together,” said Giotto Morandi after the signature.

"We are very glad that we can keep planning with a homegrown player like Giotto for the future. Upon return from his injury, he immediately proved how decisive he can be with his speed and technical abilities. We are confident that he will continue to play an important role for our team in the future," said Technical Director Seyi Olofinjana.

For the coming season, Morandi will take over shirt number 8.
