AWAY AT ST. JAKOB-PARK

The Hoppers travel to Basel for the 34th round on Thursday. Against Basel, they want to show a reaction to the defeat from the previous weekend.

There was great disappointment on Sunday evening when GC were beaten 1-0 by FC Sion. The defeat meant that Sion moved past GC again and are now one point ahead. Now it's off to Basel for Giorgio Contini's team. The last duel at St. Jakob-Park offered the spectators great entertainment with a 2:2 draw. Unfortunately, GC had to concede the equalizer in injury time. Now the Hoppers head to Basel for the last time this season.

FC Basel 1893 is still in second place in the table - four points ahead of YB. Recently, however, they remained without a win twice. They were beaten 2-0 at home by FCZ and did not manage more than a 0-0 away draw against Lausanne-Sport.

Against Sion, head coach Giorgio Contini will have to do without Florian Hoxha, Tomás Ribeiro, Georg Margreitter, Kaly Sène and Petar Pusic due to injury. In addition, Sangbin Jeong (abdominal muscle strain) is questionable.

The match will be broadcasted as usual on 86-Live (radio and live ticker). In addition, the match will be shown on the platforms of ELEVEN and OneFootball.
