INJURY UPDATE ON THE 1ST TEAM

Grasshopper Club Zürich is currently without Florian Hoxha, Tomás Ribeiro, Georg Margreitter, Kaly Sène and Petar Pusic. They have been forced to sit out due to various injuries and are now fighting to get back on the pitch. How are they doing at the moment?

The long-term injured Florain Hoxha (cruciate ligament rupture) and Tomás Ribeiro (meniscus injury) have had their respective operations and both players have already started their rehabilitation. Both defenders must remain patient and still have several months ahead of them before they can return to team training.

For defender Georg Margreitter, <link https: www.gcz.ch en news article margreitter-extends-until-2023 external-link-new-window auf eine externe seite grasshopper club>who recently extended his contract with GC for another year, the rehabilitation is going well. The vice-captain will partially rejoin the team training next week. Whether he will still play this season is still questionable at the moment.

Kaly Sène has been suffering from groin pain for several months. The 21-year-old striker has undergone therapy in recent weeks and will be able to train with the team again from next week on. The Senegalese is expected to be available to coach Contini again in two weeks.

Petar Pusic is currently still in rehabilitation training. After a long period of absence due to health reasons, he was on the verge of returning at the beginning of April, but then suffered a setback. Now Pusic is feeling better and is training individually on campus to get back to his old form. However, both the player and the club need to be patient and allow the body the necessary time to regain its full capacity. It is not yet possible to predict when Pusic will be fit for action again.

Grasshopper Club Zurich wishes its players a smooth recovery process and hopes to welcome them back to team training soon.
