GC Zurich will face FC Luzern on Sunday. In the match against the team from Central Switzerland, the Hoppers are looking for important points after three defeats in a row.
In the two previous encounters with FC Luzern, the two teams drew 1-1 on both occasions. Now the third duel of the season awaits. For the team of head coach Contini, it is a matter of extending the gap to the playout position as far as possible against the table neighbors. To do so, on Sunday the Grasshoppers will be chasing their second win this season.
FC Luzern started the second half of the 2021/22 season with two defeats, but after settling in under new coach Mario Frick, his side found its stride and collected eight points in the last five games. Most recently, FCL managed to overcome a 2-0 deficit away in Bern against Young Boys, as newly signed Dräger scored the late equalizer in the 85th minute.
Against Luzern, head coach Giorgio Contini will still have to do without Petar Pusic, who is in rehabilitation training.
