Grasshopper Club Zurich have loaned Shkelqim Demhasaj to FC Winterthur. The 25-year-old centre forward, who is under contract with GC Zurich until the summer of 2023, joins FC Winterthur in the Challenge League until the end of the season.
The Swiss-Kosovar striker has been part of the Grasshopper Club Zurich first-team squad since July 2020. With GC, Demhasaj played a total of 49 games and scored 12 goals. In the current season, he made 13 appearances in the Super League. Now the number 9 moves on loan to FC Winterthur, where he will play under coach Alex Frei until the end of the season.
Technical Director Seyi Olofinjana said: "Demhasaj contributed significantly to our promotion with his performances last season. It is important for both the player and the club that he gets the chance to collect more playing time in the coming months. We are confident that he will prove his qualities in Winterthur and look forward to welcoming him back in the summer.
