Grasshopper Club Zürich and Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed to terminate the loan of Leonardo Campana. The 21-year-old striker from Ecuador expressed the desire to find a solution that would enable him to get more playing time. Campana will thus return to Wolverhampton to prepare for the next step in his career.
Campana played 15 games for GC this season, scoring three goals in the first five league matches. Following the impactful start of Kaly Sène and the impressive performances of Léo Bonatini, the young striker collected less and less playing time and is now looking for a solution that will allow him to play more regularly.
Grasshopper Club Zurich would like to thank Leonardo Campana for his commitment over the last months and wish him all the best for the future.
