135 years ago, on September 1st 1886, Grasshopper Club Zurich was founded by the English student Tom E. Griffith. As Switzerland's record champion and most important multi-sport club, Grasshopper Club Zürich can look back on 135 years rich in tradition.
The football section is particularly successful, with a palmares of 27 Swiss championship titles, 19 cup victories and 8 doubles at the top of Swiss Football.
135 years have passed, 135 years with many successes and with a lot of tradition. We wish ourselves a happy birthday and look forward to many more successful years.
