GC captain Amir Abrashi suffered his fractured cheekbone after a violent tackle in the final stages of the home match against Lausanne-Sport on Saturday. The fracture was confirmed following an examination on Sunday.
The 31-year-old midfielder will have to undergo surgery today and will not be available for Sundays cup match against FC Widnau. Abrashi is set to return to training next week.
