Grasshopper Club Zurich signs Leonardo Campana. The 20-year-old Ecuadorian arrives on a one-year-loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 1.90-metre-tall striker comes to Zurich directly from the Copa América. Leonardo Campana played four games for Ecuador at this year's Copa América, in which he started twice. The centre-forward will be on loan to Zurich for one year. Most recently, Leonardo Campana was loaned out to the Portuguese first division club FC Famalicão. Campana completed his youth and first professional games with Ecuadorian first division club Barcelona SC.
Technical director Seyi Olofinjana is looking forward to the new arrival: "Campana has already gained a lot of experience at his young age and represented his country at the Copa América. With his height, he gives us additional power on offense. We are very happy to have Leonardo with us."
